Share to Matters

Wrote something new? Send it to your Matters profile too, and keep a link back to your own site.

This page shares a single new post back to Matters, so readers there see it too, while the original stays on your site. It works for one post at a time — whichever you are looking at in preview.

Share a post

1. Open the post. Click the post so you can see it in preview. Sharing is only available while a post is open. If something else is open, the Matters button is greyed out with the note Navigate to an article to syndicate.

2. Turn on Matters. In the publish panel, switch on the Matters.Town channel for this post. This only arms it — your next publish will share the post. Nothing is sent on its own.

3. Press Publish. Click Publish. moss puts your latest changes online, then prepares a Matters draft of this post and opens it in your browser for you to look over.

4. Publish on Matters. Review the draft on Matters and publish it there. moss waits in the background. (moss never publishes to Matters for you.) When you publish, moss adds a link back to the post on your own site, connecting the two.

What you'll see

When the post is shared, a message appears: Syndicated N article(s) to Matters, with a View profile button that opens your Matters profile.

If you close the Matters draft without publishing, moss saves it and leaves a reminder — Draft saved, publish it on Matters when ready — with an Open draft button to return later.

If there's nothing new to share, moss shows No new articles to syndicate and does nothing. Already-shared posts are skipped, so pressing Publish again won't create duplicates.
